Course Overview
The outline of the course is to first provide a big picture overview of the 5STOM Method itself and then go through steps 1 to 5 sequentially in separate modules. Each step has a teaching portion followed by an exercise and then a discussion. The exercises are a combinations of questions, visualizations, mindfulness meditation, psychotherapy, and hypnotherapy techniques. The final session will put everything together in an exercise that combines all five steps of 5STOM - the way it's meant to be used in your daily life.
What are the 5 Steps?
- Feel and identify negative emotions
- Recognize and understand desires and needs
- Identify contributing frustrations and reactionary patterns
- “Reparenting” your reactions
- Incorporating the positive feelings that return breadth and stability to your emotional state of being
